MPA's remanufactured starters are re-engineered from the inside-out to exacting standards for unsurpassed reliability. Our engineers perform extensive failure-analysis on in-field OE units and update designs to rectify common causes of failures and improve dependability.

Once design enhancements have been proven, our extensive remanufacturing process includes total core disassembly, extensive component replacement and stringent three-phase testing to ensure that every starter delivers the quality you can depend on - with every turn of the key.

TOTAL CORE DISASSEMBLY AND CLEANING – returned core starters are thoroughly stripped down to base components and durable parts are cleaned, machined and tested to precise standards.

CONSTRUCTION OF SUB-ASSEMBLIES – new components including brushes, bushings, springs, contacts and more are assembled with the reclaimed durable parts. Each individual sub-assembly is tested again to ensure proper function.

ASSEMBLY OF STARTER – all sub-assemblies are combined and the starter is lubricated with aerospace-grade grease to ensure long-life under grueling conditions. Each individual starter is then final-tested to exacting standards to ensure optimum performance and durability.

Starters from MPA also set new standards for performance and durability. Just like our alternators, they are re-engineered for performance, manufactured to our strict quality standards and undergo our extensive T3 Testing process.
